Dominique Joire

BSc (hons) TCM, MRCHM, dip Ac(China), SAC-AAE

Dominique Joire has been practicing acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine since 1995. His area of specialities are chronic pain and migraines, male and female fertility issues and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (fibromyalgia and Long-covid syndrome).

He has been the clinical lead of the Gateway clinic, Guys and St Thomas’ National Health Service (NHS) Trust, since 1999. The Gateway clinic is a unique acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) clinic in the NHS with an ongoing research programme, specialising in the treatment of long term chronic pain as well as HIV health issues and fibromyalgia management. The clinic has received the 2003 award for best integrated medical practice in the NHS by HRH the Prince of Wales.

Dominique is also a regular guest lecturer in the treatment of HIV and Hepatitis C with Chinese herbal medicine at the Northern College of Acupuncture in York and Westminster University.

Dominique has a special interest in the therapeutic use of meditation in his practice in conjunction with acupuncture for the treatment of stress related conditions. He is following an ongoing programme to study in depth meditation and Buddhism with the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT).

Dominique is a member of the Association of Acupuncturist of Spain (A.A.E) and the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (MRCHM) and is bound by the registers codes of ethic and practice.
